Supporting community, through art
Paintings are a powerful method of communication, dating back thousands of years.
They can give lasting joy, tell a story, provide a warning, record history, raise a person's spirits, heal, create a reason to smile. They can also connect people, provide a focal point and raise awareness of important subjects.
I feel honoured to have been able to support community through my paintings. During the pandemic I donated all profit from two annual calendars ($13,000) and provided free promotion to local struggling businesses - and the charities I was supporting.
Here are five causes I've supported through my paintings.
